  • Developed a criminal offence categorization engine from scratch using Python to assist in national and international ancestry record linkage projects used by Ancestry.com
  • Build and applied manual and automated data cleaning techniques to various databases of historical records
  • Utilized fuzzy matching and other data matching principles to sort and link historical records
  • Build a Python library for further efficiency in fuzzy string matching for categorizing records
  • Tweaked and refined categorization engine to process over 2000 records per second with near perfect accuracy on large, multi-provincial databases

PROJECTS

Stuff Discord Says: Discord bot designed to highlight user’s most memorable messages. Currently active on five servers. Built using Go and self-hosted on Raspberry Pi.

RNote: LaTeX-like document creation system for creating point-form notes built in Python.

Gunkstribute: Distributed program that uses AI to categorize and rename images. Built with Node.js for the Distributed Summer 2020 Hackathon with a partner. Won first place.

Personal Website: Showcases my portfolio and projects. Built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Jekyll.

Image Gallery and Editor Web App: Developed a full-stack web app allowing users to edit and view images. Used C and Node.js to create a lightweight backend and HTML/CSS for frontend.

Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Generator: Developed a tool in Java to help Dungeon Masters create levels for Dungeons and Dragons. Used JavaFX to implement a GUI for ease of use.
